My name is Nerissa Hall, and my life completely revolves around my home, hence the name Homebody Hall. But besides my family, my life has always centered around creativity. You name the art form, and I’ve probably tried it…seriously. And I’ve loved most of them.
So why, you may ask, has fluid art in particular captured my attention and my heart? Well, let me tell you, as a momma of two now, I don’t have much time for myself or my hobbies. Sound familiar? But I still want to be creative. It’s good for my mental health and makes me happy! And fluid art comes in because I can make beautiful art in less than an hour. And I can do it with my kids if I want to.
What’s more is it’s also a craft that I can do despite the fact that I have an autoimmune disorder that manifests in pain in my hands, much like arthritis. I can no longer sit or stand in one place for very long or do things like crocheting. But fluid art is something that I have been adapted to my physical limitations so that I can still make beautiful art! (Yes, I have figured something out for mixing my paints to save my hands!)
Basically, my goal is to share my experiences with you, my successes and my failures, in the hopes that you can pick up some new ideas and learn from my adventures to save you some time, hassle, and money along the way. I really want everyone who wants to be creative to have that ability, and I truly think that fluid art is an awesome art form to facilitate that!
